A Medical Students Guide to the Library

Study Rooms

The HMSOM Library has several areas for students to sit down and study.

  • Information Common's Area
    • Think of this area has the hub of the library.  Students generally meet, before, in-between, and after classes in this area of the library.  There are several tables, desks and sofa's for students to hang out and study.
  • Quiet Study room
    • There is a quiet Study room adjacent to the Common's Area that students can utilized for quieter space to study.  Tables in this room have built in outlets for laptop and device charging.
  • Study Carrel's
    • Study carrel's are located along the perimeter of the library for individual and quieter studying
  • Group and Single Study Rooms are located throughout the HMSOM Library

    • Study rooms may be reserved by students and faculty of Seton Hall University and the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
    • Reservations can be made in 30 minute increments. The maximum reservation time is 3 hours.
    • Reservations can be made 7 days in advance.

    • Each Group Study Room is equipped with a flat screen monitor and a white board.

  • Reference Books
    • The HMSOM Library has a large reference collection for students to use while on campus.
